Case Study — Travel: Business Build

A trip designer that turns preferences into a bookable itinerary.

Eventica Travels needed a way for travelers to configure a personal trip themselves, instead of going back and forth over email and WhatsApp before a quote could even start. We built the trip designer that does that.

The brief

Replace the back-and-forth
with a single flow.

Before this build, designing a personal trip with Eventica meant a manual exchange of messages to pin down dates, destination, and party size before any itinerary could be put together. Eventica wanted a self-serve flow travelers could complete in one sitting, that fed straight into a real itinerary request on their end.

01
Dates & Origin

Travel dates and origin point captured up front, so the rest of the flow can be shaped around the actual trip window.

02
Destination & Duration

Where they're going and for how long, set before any hotel or transport options are presented.

03
Hotel Category, Guests & Rooms

Accommodation tier and party composition, so the request reflects the real shape of the trip, not a generic template.

04
Transport & Itinerary Request

Transport preferences captured last, then the whole configuration is packaged into a custom itinerary request for Eventica's team.

How we built it

Designed around the
trip-planning flow.

We treated this as a multi-step form problem first, and a travel product second: every screen had to feel like progress, not paperwork.

01
Map the flow
Worked with Eventica to lay out every input their team actually needed to build a quote, in the order a traveler would naturally think through a trip.
02
Design the steps
Broke the flow into focused steps, dates, destination, accommodation, transport, instead of one long form, so each step stays simple.
03
Build in Next.js
Built the trip designer as a Next.js app, with the final step packaging every selection into a structured itinerary request.
04
Ship & hand over
Deployed to Eventica's portal and handed over running in production, where it's live today at portal.eventicatravels.com.
